My name is John Ridgely Pindell Jr. (Jack) and in November 1968 Val & I along with 9 month old Alison made the long move from Baltimore, Maryland to Australia’s island state of Tasmania.
I created this website to share some of what a life ‘down under’ is like and to give friends and relatives a means to view some of our photos. I also like playing about with computers!
The Photos page gives you a choice of Albums to view, which will open in a new window on your browser. For those of you who have a slow Internet connection it can take some time, but well worth the effort.
The Links page gives you some Internet sites mainly about Tasmania, but may include other locations. Under Links, the
Webcams
will give you assorted web cameras located around our
capital city of Hobart. Again these will open in a new browser window.
In the Northern Hemisphere you may have to pick a time when we are in
daylight. We're about 12 hours ahead.
